As part of its multi-fold mission, Linearis® / Prints & Drawings™ is committed to assisting nonprofit organizations and institutions in meeting their fundraising and development goals. For almost a decade, Linearis has fully organized live and silent art auctions and art sales as a fundraising apparatus for nonprofit organizations. Linearis offers two different programs for fundraising auctions and art sales:

     • Event Enhancement. By mounting a temporary art exhibition at an existing fundraising event and conducting a silent art auction or art sale, the Institute can provide an additional revenue stream for any benefit gala, dinner, festival, or performance.

     • Private Receptions. The Institute staff curates high-caliber exhibitions, featuring only the most prestigious highlights from the collection and exhibited in the Linearis gallery space or in a private home or third-party venue. Both setting and selection of artwork for these intimate receptions can be geared toward a select group of benefactors or donors for a nonprofit organization.

These programs are offered to carefully selected organizations based on their reputation of excellence and dedication to the community. The exhibitions are curated at no cost to the sponsoring organization, including transportation and implementation of the artwork. A percentage of the gross proceeds are donated to the organization.

By auctioning works of art to connoisseurs and other possible donors, Linearis provides an exceptional opportunity for a nonprofit to reach out to a greater audience, including individuals previously unaware of the group’s work. Both the organization and Linearis issue invitations, thus allowing for an eclectic range of participants.

Linearis’s fundraising experts understand that each nonprofit organization has certain needs specific to its cause. Tailoring individual programs to fit a variety of fundraising goals, these experts work with each organization to put together an event that not only raises immediate funds, but also results in an increased awareness of the organization’s cause, leading to long-term support. Whether the organization is large or small, Linearis is equipped to accommodate anything from a full-plated dinner featuring a live auction, to an exhibit with a selection of works offered in a silent auction. In addition, a fundraiser can be added to any number of the organization’s planned calendar events.

A sizable portion of the proceeds from each auction are donated to the sponsoring organization. As a result, the event not only meets the organization’s fundraising goals but also promotes an appreciation of the arts. Through this distinctive fundraising technique, donors are rewarded as well. Each purchaser in a live or silent auction receives an official Certificate of Authenticity for the purchased work, an appraisal of its market value, and a letter disclosing the portion of the winning bid that is being donated to the nonprofit organization.

Collectors and patrons have found that Fine Art is a smart investment. With a collection of artworks spanning over 400 years, Linearis has something for every taste. Our collection includes Modern Masters, Old Masters, Fine French Drawings, Indian Miniature Drawings, Japanese Woodblocks, Islamic Calligraphy, Vintage Photography, and Contemporary Art and represents works by such names as Chagall, Kandinsky, Lautrec, Matisse, Miro, Picasso, Rembrandt, and Renoir.
