About Us
In addition to collecting, exhibiting, and auctioning the works in its collection, the Institute offers a broad range of services to art collectors and anyone interested in the visual arts. Among those services, Linearis Institute assists nonprofit organizations in fundraising and provides professional consultation for collectors, education in the arts, and in-house picture framing. From educational internships and fundraising support to specialized collection consultation and research, this unique variety of services allows Linearis Institute to interact with and assist a wide range of individuals and organizations. The Institute is equipped with extensive knowledge of art history and the art marketplace and has successfully advised thousands of collectors and many institutions worldwide.
The exhibition space hosts an eclectic array of artworks of the last five centuries. From the works of such masters as Renoir, Matisse, and Picasso to captivating works of Islamic calligraphy by Mohamed Zakariya [link to CV], the Institute’s collection spans the globe and history. Open to prospective clients and collectors, Linearis Institute provides an opportunity for interested persons to explore art from various cultures and genres. The curator and staff are on hand to answer any questions about the pieces, many of which are available for examination and purchase.
The fundraising program of Linearis Institute works with not-for-profit organizations to develop creative opportunities to reach out to potential donors. By customizing silent auctions and other events to fit the sponsoring organization’s needs, the Institute provides a unique opportunity for an audience to actively support the organization’s goals while taking part in an exciting Fine Art experience. Any charity or nonprofit group can take advantage of this one-of-a-kind program, which is open to those who are simply curious about art as well as to experienced connoisseurs.
Linearis Institute advisors work with collectors—both newcomers to the art world and seasoned specialists—to help them make well-informed decisions about Fine Art. Focusing on the works in the Institute’s collection, they walk clients through the learning process necessary for them to make knowledgeable choices about their investments. Under the guidance of an advisor, each person is able to examine the art itself, learn about it and about its creator, and then make an educated purchase decision.
With its predominant goal of helping increase society’s awareness of and appreciation for the arts, Linearis Institute is deeply committed to education in California and beyond. In addition to providing lectures on the significance of Fine Art throughout history to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, the Institute also offers internships to students who want to pursue their interests in the visual arts and the administration and management of an art institute.
